Clean and simple sketches

So it's been a while but life's been a little busy lately. We've moved house and it's taken a while but I finally feel like my stuff is organised and I'm ready to roll again. Besides it's winter here and what else is there to do when it's miserable outside?

I stumbled upon an awesome sketch site the other day. So here 's what I've been up to...

So I've decided a back to basics approach is best right for me right now.  I'm loving the clean designs and simplicity of stamping and beautiful papers, so I've abandoned colouring for now and focused on clean and simple!

Mojo Monday

Hi Everyone
Hope you're all enjoying the weekend.  It's still a bit cold and grey here in Melbourne but it's not raining so at least we can get out in the fresh air:)

I loved this week's Mojo sketch and decided to make it bright and bold with lots of patterned paper.  Must of taken this photo on a funny angle...oh well!

Paper: La Di Da from Kaiser, SU Certainly Celery
Stamps: CC Designs Spring Kit
Copics: Clothes V17, 15, 12, B97, 95, 91, E40, 41, YG03. Hair -  YR 23, 21, 20, Skin - E000, E00 R20

Time to scoot off and do a bit of shopping...groceries, not the fun type:(

Hopefully be back soon with this months Tickled Pink Challenge.

ATS Colour Challenge

Just a quick post this morning before I head out the door to work. This card is for the ATS Wednesday Challenge and this week the task was to make a card with celery, pink and carribbean. Sounded like fun in the sun to me, so I had to use my new Honey Bikini stamp. Nothing could be further from fun in the sun here in Melboure at the moment. It's freezing cold and raining and I'm getting ready to rug up and brave the cold..oh well at least it's a little reminder that spring and summer are one day closer!!
Hope you all have a great ( and hopefully warm) day!
Thanks for stopping by,
hugs Kirsty

Tickled Pink Monthly Challenge

Another challenge I got to take part in over the long weekend was the Tickled Pink monthly challenge. I really enjoyed this one, was nice to try something a little different.

I've only just discovered Tickled Pink and I just love their Lil Lolita range of stamps, but since I used Lilith just the other day and its been a little cold and wet lately I decided to use my Rainy Day Emma. The challenge was to make a card using the sketch provided and a matching bookmark. Not sure if I ruined it with the sparkly rain, but you just don't know until you try right??

Here's what I came up with;

Supplies
Cardstock & paper: Marrakech DSP by Basic Grey, Groovy Guava DSP by SU, Ocean Tides by PTI, Chocolate Chip by SU
Stamps: Rainy Day Emma by CC Designs
Copics: Hair & Boots - E 70, 71,74,77,79, Jacket & Umbrella YR 02, 00, Jeans - B97, 95 91, Skin - E000, E00, R20

If you haven't checked out the challenges at Tickled Pink, you can visit them here.
